Rocket Cruiser Mariners Print

mariners5.JPGThe purpose of Mariners is to establish Christian homes, to give Christian service, and to offer Christian fellowship and outreach, relying upon Jesus Christ, our Pilot; the Bible, our Compass; and the Church, our Anchor.

Mariners originated in the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, CA, in 1927, under the leadership of Rev. and Mrs. Louis H. Evans.

Covenant's Rocket Cruiser Mariners were formed on March 9, 1962, as the first Mariners organization in the Southeastern United States.

mariners4.JPGWe meet on the second Friday of each month (unless otherwise stated in the Sunday bulletin, newsletter, or this website). Anyone may participate in this organization. For more information about Mariners, contact Frank and Janet Szofran (883-6563).

Food and Fellowship Print

cottage dinner 4.JPGThe Mariners are always getting together for fun, food, and fellowship.  The Cottage Dinners are a wonderful way for smaller groups to get together in homes and spend time together.

The Ice Cream Social always draws a big crowd.  This event involved singing and homemade ice cream!

Handmade Toys Print
Our tradition of service and outreach includes delivering over 200 handmade and hand painted wooden toys to "Pride for Parents" Christmas toy project for Second Mile Development.

Valentine's Dinner Print
Mariners sponsor the annual Valentine's Dinner, where couples celebrate their lifelong romance with fine dining and some entertainment.
