Christmas Market 2010: Joy and Hope for Christmas |
|
|
Planning for Covenant’s Alternative Christmas Market will begin this month so that on Sunday, November 21, Covenant members will be given the opportunity to bring joy and hope to themselves and to people around the world. On that Sunday we will be given the opportunity to purchase such things as a cow, a chick, or clean drinking water for someone who needs it and at the same time honor our family members and friends with a gift card recognizing these gifts in their names. Gift cards from local ministries such as Huntsville Assistance Program and Second Mile will be available. And we will have the opportunity to purchase beautiful handmade items from around the world. These items are “fairly traded”, which means that the artisans have been paid a fair price for their work so that they can provide for their families.
Volunteers are needed to help with the Market. We also welcome ideas to improve this third annual market. Anyone who is interested in helping is urged to contact Mary Witherspoon or Grace Dailey. |

of Christ who believe strongly in God’s gift
of the marriage relationship. Humbled by our own failures and stumbles along the way, we are committed to growing our own marriages, and helping others grow their marriages as well.
