High School Summer Trip Announced for June 3-8

Details:: This year we will be heading to Panama City Beach, FL for the Big Stuf Camp www.bigstuf.com.
The cost will be about $400 which includes Big Stuf fees, transportation, and fun activities. Registration is now open, so submit a $100 deposit to reserve your spot!

Details:: We would like to officially announce this summer’s mission trip. We will be going with YouthWorks to Newport, TN on June 17-22. The tentative cost for the trip is $300 which includes YouthWorks fees, transportation, and fun activities. Registration is now open. We will need a $100 deposit to save your space.Newport, TN? Our middle school leaders examined a number of mission sites and felt that a trip to a small town would complement last year’s trip to Birmingham. Located in eastern Tennessee’s Cocke County, Newport is approximately 50 miles east of Knoxville on the eastern border of Tennessee at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains. While this rural town has a low cost of living, there still are residents who struggle to make ends meet, often because of the lack of educational and employment opportunities. Only 60 percent of Newport’s residents have a high school diploma, and the unemployment rate hovers near 8 percent. Twenty-nine percent of the population lives in poverty, including almost 41 percent of children under age 18.
