Covenant Kids

The Presbyterian Church has a rich tradition of reformed theology that shapes our worship and our church vision. Rooted in our tradition is a history of children’s education that is transformative and full of grace. At Covenant, we believe that every page of scripture shows how people are broken, but loved and how God is in control. Teaching our children the Word of God in a safe environment is a foundation of our calling.

Covenant Children’s Ministry

Sunday Morning Children’s Programming

We are excited to have our children with us each Sunday morning for lessons and worship! All volunteers are Safe Child Trained, giving parents peace of mind to focus on growing their own faith. Sundays look like this for our youngest disciples:

• Nursery (8:45am–12:00pm)
  Available for children ages 0–2 years.
• Faith & Friends (9:00–10:00am)
  Kids ages 3 years–5th grade meet in the Fellowship Hall for structured play and making friends!
  Children’s Choir will resume in late-August.
• Fellowship Time (10:00–10:30am)
  Pick up your child for light refreshments and conversation in the areas outside the Chapel and Sanctuary.
• Worship & Young Disciples (10:30–11:30am)
  Children are invited to join their families for worship at 10:30am.
  After the Children’s Message, kids ages 3 years–5th grade are dismissed from the Sanctuary for Young Disciples, a special time of learning and Bible lessons.
• Pick-Up (After Worship–11:45am)
  Parents can pick up children any time after the worship service ends. At 11:45am, all remaining pre-K through 5th grade children will be brought to the check-in table or the Atrium for pick-up.

What safety protocols are in place at Covenant Kids?

Your child’s safety is a priority for our entire team. Team leaders have all completed teacher trainings and background checks and are volunteers who love kids. Our nursery team are a team hired and trained.

Is there childcare at Covenant events?

We often have childcare at Covenant events. Check out our event calendar.

Are there any schools at Covenant?

Covenant Weekday Preschool is a wonderful school full of rich heritage that has been operating for 60 years. For questions email our Preschool Director Kathy Emmerson (kathy.emmerson@covhsv.org).
