High School Events

2019 is shaping up very nicely for the Youth of Covenant! Below are some of the events we have scheduled so far. God has used our Youth to invite many of their peers into our group. Many of our new visitors either do not have a church home, or are seeking a group where they feel like they belong. It is a privilege to see the Lord moving them to a place of outreach as the Spirit begins to over flow in them as our church family helps fill them up. Mark your calendars and prayer journals for the following events:

April 6 –   All Youth  Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for our Summer Missions.

May 19th – High School Seniors and Confirmation Class Recognition Sunday. We will recognize our Confirmation class as they take another step in their faith walk. We will also honor our graduating seniors and hear from some of them for our message during both services.

June 3rd -7th – VBS week, our youth are a crucial part of the team of leaders who make this week so great for our kids and all of our guests.

June 15th-22nd –High School Mission Trip to the Texas Gulf Coast: We will be continuing the work for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. While it is not in the news cycle anymore, and most of us have not thought of it in a while, there are many areas still in need of help to recover. We are partnering with Thirst Missions.

August 9th-11th – Back-to-School Retreat at Camp Maranatha: It is a Presbytery-wide event for all Middle School and High School Students.

Summer Mission Trip

Mark your calendar for June 15-21 of 2019
We will be heading to Texas.
WHY TEXAS GULF COAST?
Thirst Missions has roots in the small towns on the Texas Gulf Coast. In August 2017, we watched Hurricane Harvey devastate the region, destroying over 9,000 homes and damaging nearly 200,000.
Many families need help, and the need will persist for years to come. Hurricane Harvey became a catalyst for us to jump into ministry along the Texas Gulf Coast permanently.
Our Texas teams focus on work projects to help the poor, needy, and neglected. May God bless your team as you experience Texas culture and serve as Christ’s hands and feet.
“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”  – Galatians 6:10
