Pastor Dave preaches his final sermon in our “Made to Serve” sermon series, titled, “A Servant Life”. As we encounter a very familiar passage of scripture in Philippians 4, we are challenged to ask ourselves what these verses mean for our call to be servants of Jesus Christ. Ms. Alison teaches another great children’s lesson and Pastor Kling offers a meaningful Prayers of the People. Once again, we have excellent music by the Covenant Praise Band and Matt & Betty.

Family & Small Group Discussion Questions

1. Read Phil 4:4-13 together.
2. Have you memorized any of the verses in this passage before? If so, when? What did it mean to you to have those verses memorized?
3. Why is memorizing scripture important?
4. When Paul writes, “I can do all things” he is speaking in the context of serving God and suffering for God’s sake. What types of things has God called you to that would be impossible with out Christ’s strength?
5. Pray silently, and ask God to reveal to you what opportunities to serve him are right in front of you right now. Share with the group.

Worship Relaunch Information

On June 7th, Covenant plans to transition back into its sanctuary at 301 Drake Ave SE, Huntsville AL. We will offer a small worship service at 10AM. Based on a congregational survey, we anticipate most folks to continue worshipping online – so we will continue to provide excellent worship resources and videos each Sunday for those at home. Together we are united in our commitment to one another and our commitment to Christ, whether worshipping in-person or online!

No reservation or permission is required to attend worship in the sanctuary on June 7th. However, all participants must wear a mask (we will have some available for you!) and we request that you take your temperature and use the restroom before leaving your home.

The elders request that you make a careful and informed decision about the best way for you to worship in June. For those who intend to attend worship in person, please read the following guidelines carefully when making your decision.
