June 14th Worship Resources: “Senior Grad Testimony Sunday”

June 13, 2020

Join us for a powerful service of praise and testimonies as our graduating high school seniors share the difference that Jesus Christ and our church family has made in their lives. You will hear stories of talented young people who accepted Christ for the first time in our church. You will hear stories of young people raised in the faith now prepared for a lifetime of service in Christ’s name. The energy and authenticity of today’s service will inspire you wherever you are today and encourage you in the week ahead. Don’t miss a single second of this wonderful service!

Read on below for important announcements about next week’s worship service at 10AM in the Sanctuary. (Don’t worry – we’re still going to be offering an awesome Online worship service too! Whether you’re in your home or in our sanctuary, we’ve got you covered!)

Order of Worship: June 7th, 2020

Family & Small Group Discussion Questions

  1. After watching the testimonies today there are a number of different journeys our seniors have taken. Some converted to Christianity from a different religion or from a period of questioning. Others found that a new church family deepended their faith at a critical moment. Others found that the spirit called them to serve in a courageous way. Take 30 seconds to think quietly. Where are YOU today on your faith journey?
  2. Our seniors shared how important it was for them to attend worship and to feel the presence of God. That’s right in line with our sermon series in June about Holy Ground. Where do you feel God’s presence? What’s Holy Ground for you?
  3. Our call to worship was taken from Psalm 91 by a young man who will be attending the U.S. Naval Academy in the Fall. Take turns reading verses of this powerful psalm. What lines do you find comforting today?

Worship Relaunch Information

On June 7th, Covenant plans to transition back into its sanctuary at 301 Drake Ave SE, Huntsville AL. We will offer a small worship service at 10AM. Based on a congregational survey, we anticipate most folks to continue worshipping online – so we will continue to provide excellent worship resources and videos each Sunday for those at home. Together we are united in our commitment to one another and our commitment to Christ, whether worshipping in-person or online!

No reservation or permission is required to attend worship in the sanctuary on June 7th. However, all participants must wear a mask (we will have some available for you!) and we request that you take your temperature and use the restroom before leaving your home.

The elders request that you make a careful and informed decision about the best way for you to worship in June. For those who intend to attend worship in person, please read the following guidelines carefully when making your decision:
